In a thrilling, hard-fought game in front of a packed gymnasium, the Garden City Boys Basketball team, ranked #3, emerged victorious over #6 Roslyn, winning 67-59. The highly anticipated matchup showcased both teams at their best, with the Trojans delivering a dominant defensive performance and efficient offensive execution.
The Garden City defense was the key to the win, as they minimized Roslyn’s opportunities to score and successfully negated their outside shooters. The Trojans were relentless in their defensive pressure, forcing turnovers and disrupting Roslyn’s offensive rhythm throughout the game.
On offense, the Trojans were led by Ryan Campbell, who scored a team-high 18 points and was a dominant force in the paint. Ryan Kenny, coming off the bench, had a breakout performance, contributing a career-high 17 points, providing a crucial spark for the Trojans in the second half.
